LATIFA TEE RNB

Latifa Tee has channeled her deep love for music into a multifaceted career as a DJ, triple j radio

host, artist, and ambassador for the Australian Children’s Music Foundation (ACMF). Based in so-

called Sydney, she is renowned nationwide for her vibrant embrace of all genres – from hip-hop

and R&B, to UKG and dance, she infuses her sets with a contemporary flair rooted in her

traditional DJ upbringing, inspired by her turntablist Dad.

Latifa Tee has graced the stages of Australia and New Zealand’s biggest music festivals, including

Splendour In The Grass (Mix Up Stage), Lost Paradise, Beyond The Valley (VIC), Spilt Milk

(National Tour), Ability Fest (VIC), Summer Camp Festival, Deep Hard N Funky (NZ), ROAM

Festival (WA), Sweet Relief (QLD), Day Trip Festival (QLD), Coastal Jam (VIC) and Oktoberfest.

impressive roster of sets supporting international icons like EARTHGANG, Ferg, and Jaden Smith,

In addition to energising dance floors at Sydney's premier venues and events like ivy (Lost

Sundays headline), The Abercrombie, The Metro Theatre, Luna Park, Manning Bar, Cliff Dive,

Argyle, and Marquee, Latifa lends her magnetic stage presence to her headline sets at interstate

institutions like Eclipse Brisbane, Confessions Nightclub Mackay, Fiction Nightclub Canberra, The

Ville Townsville, Laundry Melbourne, The Prince Consort Hotel Brisbane, and The Beach Hotel

Byron Bay, just to name a few.

Dedicated to championing Australian music, Latifa is the host and producer of triple j's dance

music show, The Nudge, where she live mixes the best new dance music every Friday night from

10pm-1am. She also hosts House Party on Saturdays from 6pm-10pm, bringing mixes filled with

throwbacks, club anthems & rap bangers, alongside an hour of LGBTQIA+ music on her weekly

segment ‘Queer O’Clock’. Latifa also regularly hosts triple j’s Bars Of Steel, a segment

showcasing the best established and emerging rappers, having worked with artists such as

Flowdan, Offica, thatboykwame, Vv Pete, Mari. & more.

Beyond radio, she has also hosted official livestreams with TikTok in collaboration with Sydney

Mardi Gras, interviewing creatives like G Flip, Djanaba, Srirachi, Pussy Palace, Lagoon

Femshayma & Sofia Ligeros. She also regularly features on triple j’s TikTok and Instagram reels,

speed mixing music and acquiring 400k+ views on some of her DJing videos.

Her musical taste making extends globally through guest mixes on various platforms, including

The Estelle Show on Apple Music, guest mixes on triple j's The Kick On and Mix Up, as well as

international programs like Source Radio (France) and Saturday Selects (Malaysia). Proud of her

queer, Samoan-Aboriginal Australian heritage, Latifa is working to curate inclusive events that

celebrate the rich diversity of so-called Sydney’s music scene, such as her annual Valentine’s Day

Rave she hosts in celebration of her ‘vday bday’.

Having released her debut album titled When A Girl Loves in Japan at just 17 years old, Latifa has

had multiple songs reach #1 on the R&B charts. Her debut single, Games, has clocked over 1

million streams on Spotify with no playlist support. Her music has also been played on

commercial radio stations such as KIIS-FM and Power 106 in Los Angeles, as well as locally on

KIIS FM, 2Day FM, triple j, and The Fox. Latifa made a return to music in 2020 with Cupid and the

accompanying (Midnight Edit), marking a new sound and direction for the independent artist

Beyond music, Latifa has also worked with brands such as JD Sports for their JD Womens Month

initiative, where she proudly represented women in the streetwear scene and was the face of four

product launches for Nike, Puma, adidas and Asics. She was also the face of their Nike Archive

Remix campaign, which featured in JD retail stores nationally, and was the first DJ recruited to

record an hour long guest mix for the separate JD Radio campaign.

Not to mention, Latifa has done all of this whilst completing her Bachelor of Arts/Laws at the

University of Sydney in 2021, now striving to become admitted as a solicitor in NSW, and juggling

various other commitments such as her role as an ambassador for the ACMF.
